Abstract
Sleep was a state or condition in which reduced responses and interactions with the
environment are reversible and occur rapidly. The purpose of this study was to determine the
quantity and quality of children's sleep during the Covid-19 pandemic in Dsn. Ngembul Rt. 15
Rw. 06. Research design was non-experimental correlation descriptive research design. The
population was teenagers aged 14-16 years in Dsn. Ngembul Rt. 15 Rw. 06 which in July 2020
totaled 33 children. The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling. The sample in
this study amounted to 30 children aged 14-16 years. The research instrument used a questionnaire.
The results showed that almost half of them, namely 13 respondents (43.3%), had a poor sleep
quantity and 8 people (26.7%) had sufficient sleep quantity, and 17 respondents (56) had poor
sleep quality. 7%) and a small proportion of them were good as many as 13 respondents (43.3%).
This study shows that most children during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced a lack of sleep
quantity, while the quality of children's sleep became poor. This happens because during the
pandemic more time was spent doing online tasks and playing games so that the quantity of their
sleep was less controlled and tends to be less so that the quality of sleep is poor.
