dc.description.abstract | The application of surgical safety checklist in the operating room can to
affect and impact the patient's safety in the surgical procedure. Many factors can
to effect the implementation of patient safety programs, especially the
implementation of surgical safety checklist. The purpose of this study was to
determine the dominant factor in the implementation of surgical safety checklist
in the operating room of RSPAL Dr. Ramelan Surabaya. The research design
used is a quantitative approach. The populationis all nurses operating the RSPAL
Dr. Ramelan Surabaya as many as 93 nurses to get a sample of 45 people taken
by cluster random sampling. The independent variable is the factor that
influences the implementation of the surgical safety checklist such as education,
knowledge, attitudes, years of service, motivation and SPO, while the dependent
variable is the application of the surgical safety checklist. Data was collected
using questionnaires and observations, after the data was collected data
processing was carried out and continued with Chi-Squere statistical tests with
the help of SPSS version of IBM 21. The results showed that p (0.006) <α (0.05)
on motivational factors and p (0.000) <α (0.05) on SPO factors, so Ho was
rejected, meaning that motivation and SPO to effect factors the application of
surgical safety checklist. Physical facilities, policies, regulations, and desires of
the respondents can influence the implementation of the surgical safety checklist,
while incompatible with the SPO determined by the hospital has an to effect in
this study. Respondents can increase in the implementation of surgical safety
checklist keeping in mind the quality of service and patient safety. | en_US |
