HUBUNGAN LAMA PENGGUNAAN GADGET DENGAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL PADA REMAJA DI SMK PGRI SOOKO KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO
Abstract
In the modern era, developments are increasing, especially in the field of
technology. One product that is very attractive in all circles is the gadget. A
gadget is a device or instrument that has a practical function that is specifically
designed to be more sophisticated than the technology that was created before.
The purpose of this study is to determine the old relationship between the use of
gadgets with the level of emotional intelligence in adolescents at SMK PGRI
SOOKO, Mojokerto Regency. The study design uses cross sectional. The
population is all students of SMK PGRI SOOKO Class XI Accounting, the
sampling technique uses total sampling. The sample in this study was students of
SMK PGRI SOOKO Class XI accounting in May 2020 as many as 76 people. The
research instrument used an old questionnaire using a gadget and emotional
intelligence questionnaire. The method of data analysis uses the Spearman Rho
Correlation. The test results using SPSS 16.0 Spearman Rho correlation statistical
test obtained p = 0.108> α (0.05), which means there is no long-standing
relationship between the use of gadgets and the level of emotional intelligence in
adolescents at SMK PGRI SOOKO Mojokerto Regency. The decline in the level
of Emotional Intelligence in adolescents is not only influenced by the Old Usage
of Gadgets, but there are still many factors that make the level of emotional
intelligence decrease in adolescents.
