STUDI FENOMENOLOGI: PERILAKU FANGIRLING MAHASISWI SEMESTER 8 SAAT MENGERJAKAN SKRIPSI DI STIKES BINA SEHAT PPNI MOJOKERTO
Abstract
Fangirling is a behavior or activities carried out by fangirls in showing
their love for idols, such as listening to their music, watching movies, watching
concerts, and so on. The purpose of this study was to describe the Fangirling
Behavior of 8th Semester Students While Working on Thesis at STIKes Bina
Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. This study uses a qualitative design. The population in
this study were 105 students in semester 8 at STIKes Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto
Regency. The research subjects were 5 female students who fit the specified
criteria. The data collection technique used interviews via Whatsapp Video Calls
and recorded using cellphones due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were
analyzed using the Colaizzi method by grouping answers based on themes,
namely listening to music, watching dramas, the use of social media and after
doing fangirling activities. The results showed that all participants admitted to
having an idol whom they admired and from that admiration the participants were
more interested in carrying out these activities even the participants were not
reluctant to seek information about the singers or actors they liked, looking for
and smearing photos using social media. Their feelings after doing the Fangirling
activity are happiness, the mind becomes stressed, stress is reduced, the mood
returns to good which are included in the positive impact of this activity. The
negative impact for them is that they become addicted, forget about time, forget
about daily activities, and delay doing their thesis.
