dc.description.abstract | Student behavior often when there are accident victims at school, road, or
home they only dare to look, even though while at school they have acquired
basic first aid knowledge through PMR extracurricular activities. Students have
negative behavior towards first aid in accidents because they think first aid can
only be done by experts or health workers. The purpose of this study was to
analyze the effect of accident first aid simulation on the behavior of PMR students
at SMPN 1 Trowulan. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one
group pre-test-post-test approach. The population in this study were 35 PMR
member students. Sampling in this study using non probability sampling with total
sampling technique is a sampling technique where the number of samples is the
same as the population. In this study the population was 35 people, so the
researchers took the whole sample. The research instrument used a questionnaire
via google form. Methods of data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test.
Behavior before being given the simulation material for Accident First Aid
(PreTest), namely 16 respondents (45.7%) experienced less behavior. After being
given the simulation material about Accident First Aid it decreased to 5
respondents (14.3%). The results of statistical tests using SPSS, obtained p value
= 0.001 <α = 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a simulation effect on accident
first aid behavior in students of PMR members of SMPN 1 Trowulan. The better
students are in capturing accident first aid material, the behavior in providing first
aid for accidents will be positive. | en_US |
