Abstract
Postpartum, neonatal and family planning are natural processes that are
experienced by both mother and baby, however this process can cause
complications if there is no continuous midwifery care to monitor the
development of mother and baby. Therefore, the authors aim to apply a
continuous method of midwifery care that can be carried out through a home visit.
Continuty of care midwifery care was carried out with Varney
management and documented by SOAP. Midwifery care for Mrs. "L" is carried
out from March 3, 2020 to April 21, 2020 in the Jatirejo Health Center area. The
author conducted 4 postpartum visits, 3 newborns and 1 family planning visit.
There were 4 postpartum visits, namely 3 times at the patient's home, and
1 time online and the results were physiological. The newborn visit was carried
out 3 times, namely 3 times at the patient's house along with the schedule for the
postpartum visit and the result was that at the third visit there was miliaria in the
neck area, this was still physiological. The family planning visit was carried out
once, namely through the online postpartum week 7, the patient was interested in
using the IUD KB. On June 16, 2020, the mother had a KB after 10 weeks
postpartum.
Management of Midwifery Care at Mrs. "L" during childbirth and
neonates is in accordance with the theory, except that in family planning, the
mother is 10 weeks late for birth because the mother does not want to rush to go
to birth control and she has chosen to use the Pill. And it is hoped that the
continuous midwifery care during the postpartum period, neonates, and family
planning can reduce MMR and IMR.
