dc.description.abstract | Continuity of care is care that is given on an ongoing basis during the postpartum
period, neonates to family planning. This is done to detect early complications that occur
and prevent causes of death in mothers and babies. The author provides assistance to Mrs.
N, 19 years old, by visiting during the postpartum period, neonates and family planning
as well as providing care according to the needs of mothers and babies. The care for Mrs.
N was given 8 times from 15 March 2020 to 25 April 2020, namely 4 postpartum visits, 3
neonatal visits and 1 family planning visit. The result of the second postpartum visit, the
mother experienced that the breast was hard and full, but within physiological limits and
at the third visit the breast was not hard and her condition was fine. At the visit, the
neonate did not have any complaints and the baby was fine. And during the family
planning visit, the mother chose to use the post-placental IUD KB and did not have any
complaints. The care that has been provided by the author is understandable and has been
applied. In this case, the mother is cooperative in the examination that has been carried
out by the author and receives good health education, so that the authors provide care
according to the needs of the mother and baby. It is hoped that with continuous care from
the postpartum period, neonates to family planning can detect early complications that
occur, so as to reduce MMR and IMR, as well as add insight and knowledge for
postpartum mothers about maternal and infant care. | en_US |
