Abstract
The postpartum period, newborn baby and contraception are natural processes
experienced by the mother, however this process can cause complications if there is
no continuous obstetric care to monitor the development of the mother and baby. This
continuous care can be done through activities, namely home visits by midwives.
Midwifery continuity of care was carried out with Varney management and
documented by SOAP. Midwifery care for Mrs. "M" P1A1 will be conducted from 24
Mar 2020 to 12 May 2020 in the area around Pungging Health Center, Mojokerto
District. Conduct 4 postpartum visits, 3 newborn baby visits and 1 contraception visit.
For the first postpartum and newborn baby visits conducted at the Pungging Health
Center, the results were physiological. Second postpartum and newborn baby visits
were carried out at home with physiological results. Then the postpartum and third
newborn baby visits were carried out online, with physiological results. And the last
postpartum visit and contraception visit were conducted online, with physiological
results. Mrs. “M” was menstruating at the last visit and had calculated her menstrual
cycle for use of natural family planning with dates. Management of midwifery care at
Mrs. "M" during the postpartum period, newborn baby and contraception have been
carried out in accordance with the theory and it is hoped that the implementation of
continuous midwifery care or continuity of care can reduce maternal and child
mortality.
