Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease, mainly affecting the lungs.
Infectious diseases caused by the bacteria mycobacterium tuberculosis. This
disease is chronic, pulmonary tuberculosis can be transmitted through the air,
when someone coughs, sneezes or talks. Continuous coughing will put pressure on
the abdominal wall causing prolonged nausea and vomiting which can reduce
appetite, resulting in decreased nutritional status. The general objective of this
study was to provide nursing care for nutritional imbalances less than the body's
needs for pulmonary tuberculosis at BANGIL-PASURUAN Hospital. The
research method used is descriptive, the participants in this case were 1 participant

carried out nursing actions, namely observing vital signs, identifying nutritional
status, identifying preferred foods, taking oral hygine before eating, providing
high-fiber foods to prevent constipation, serving food attractively and at an
appropriate temperature, suggesting a sitting position if able, collaborate with a
nutritionist. The results of the evaluation after nursing action for 3 days showed
that the problem was resolved, neither nausea nor vomiting, improved appetite,
increased food portions, improved eating frequency 2 times / day. In the case of
nutritional imbalance less than the body's need, oral hygine is performed before
eating and serving food while warm is effective in helping to increase appetite.
