dc.description.abstract | Continuous midwifery care, namely care that is carried out from the postpartum
period, newborns, to family planning. This care aims to assist and monitor early
signs of danger or abnormalities during the postpartum period, newborns and
family planning.
The method used in midwifery care is continuity of care which is carried out by
home visits. Care for Mrs. "I" from the post-partum period, newborns to family
planning by making 4 post-natal visits, namely the first visit at 3 days post SC, the
second visit at 8 days post SC, the third visit at 2 weeks post SC and the fourth at
6 weeks post SC. There were 3 visits for newborn babies, namely at one visit 3
days after birth, the second visit at 8 days after birth, and the third visit at 2 weeks
after birth, and one family planning visit that coincided with the fourth post-SC
visit.
From the results of the midwifery care for Mrs. "I" starting from the postpartum
period, the newborns and family planning that had been carried out were not
found any gaps in the condition of the mother and the baby, both of which did not
experience complications or abnormalities between the facts and theories used
with the condition of the mother and baby in normal conditions.
Based on the implementation of continuity of care midwifery, there are several
things and suggestions in an effort to improve the quality of services in reducing
maternal and infant mortality rates for participants, health workers / midwives and
