dc.description.abstract | Continuity of care is the provision of midwifery care from childbirth,
newborns to deciding to use family planning. This aims to help monitor and detect
possible complications that accompany mothers and babies from the postpartum
period until the mother uses family planning. Therefore, the authors will carry out
continuous midwifery care (Continuity of Care) so that it can early monitor and
detect possible complications that may endanger the mother and baby with the
varney midwifery management approach, and documented using SOAP.
Midwifery care for Mrs. "N" P20002 was conducted on March 9, 2020 - April 19,
2020 at Puskesmas Kutorejo, Mojokerto Regency. During the postpartum visit, it
was done once at the health center and 3 times at the patient's house, the results of
the physiological examination and there were no danger signs of the puerperium.
However, in the second week the leg was slightly swollen. The author
recommends Mrs. "N" to position the feet higher than the head while sleeping, do
not stand too long, do not hang legs, recommend when using octopus is not tight
or tight, and recommend to consume foods with a balanced nutritional menu and
not abstain, consume more water or less 3 liters per day to increase milk
production. At the neonatal visit, one visit to the health center and two times at the
patient's house at the same time as the postnatal visit, the results are physiological.
The family planning visit is carried out once at the patient's house. During the
family planning visit, the mother is sure to choose to use the 3-month injection of
contraception. The results of the postpartum period for Mrs. "N" were within
normal limits. By carrying out midwifery care for postpartum mothers by means
of Continuity of Care, it is hoped that every mother who is in the postpartum
period, neonates and family planning can pass this period without any
