Abstract

In the processing of this final report, students provide continuity of care starting from the postpartum period, neonates to mothers using the contraceptive device they will use. When the study was carried out at Mrs. M during the postpartum period, an overall assessment was carried out, starting from subjective and objective data with the aim of establishing a diagnosis so that care could be provided according to the needs of the mother. The postpartum period of the mother is going well, there is a wound on the mother's perinium so it is prone to infection. During the puerperium, Mrs. M complained of pain in the perinium scar in the first day after delivery. Pain in perinium on the first day is still considered normal. Involution goes well, besides that the color changes of the lochea according to the stages. The neonates did not find any problems, the babies were born with normal weight, namely with a weight of 3,300 kg, and a PB of 50 cm. The baby is suckling firmly, the mother is breastfeeding her baby on demand or all the time. In the use of contraceptives, it is necessary to approach the mother to immediately choose the right contraceptive device for her. The mother has planned to use contraceptives to space pregnancies, and the mother has decided to use 3 months of injection contraception which is suitable for the process of breastfeeding her baby. After carrying out an assessment during the puerperium, the care given focuses on the problems that occur and the neonate is running well and no infection is found. Thus it can be concluded that the continuous care of Ny. M went well and without any complications. The care given to Mrs. M is continuity of care according to the way it should be and there are no complications found, and can support midwives in efforts to improve services from postpartum care to family planning care according to the limits and authority of a midwife.
