    Abstract
Asthma is the occurrence of bronchial hyperreaction due to allergen stimulation. This causes an increase in smooth muscle spasm of bronchial secretions, the increase that occurs causes narrowing of the respiratory tract or bronchi at the inspiration and expiration stage which causes the breathing pattern to become ineffective. This study aims to determine how appropriate nursing care is for asthmatic patients with nursing problems. ineffective breathing pattern. The method used is a method in the form of a case study in Kumitir Village, Jatirejo District which includes assessment, data analysis, determination of diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation of nursing. The research data were collected by interview (assessment) and physical examination techniques. Participants who were given nursing care were 2 participants who experienced asthma with nursing problems in ineffective breathing patterns in Kumitir Village. The study on participant 1 and participant 2 found the same complaints, namely shortness of breath, non-productive cough, additional wheezing breath sounds, and nostril breathing. The results showed that the client's condition was developing well but there were gaps, namely in participant 2 who still had a cough. After nursing care for 3x home visits, the results were obtained in participant 1 who said he did not feel shortness of breath and did not cough, there was no nostril breathing, BP: 120/80 mmHg, RR: 20x/minute, N: 83x/minute, S : 36o C and participant 2 said that they no longer felt shortness of breath but still coughed a little, no nostril breathing, BP: 140/90 mmHg, RR: 21x/minute, N: 85x/minute and S: 36oC. It is hoped that patients and families will avoid factors that can trigger asthma attacks, and increase knowledge about the signs of asthma and the first treatment that can be done when an attack occurs.
