Abstract
Diarrhea is a contagious disease that is a major public health problem in Indonesia, especially in children, because the morbidity rate is still high which has the potential to cause death. Patients with diarrhea will experience an increase in the frequency of bowel movements, which causes loss of fluid and excess electrolytes so that the patient becomes dehydrated and results in hypovolemia. If not handled quickly and appropriately, it will cause complications, namely dehydration, hypovolemic shock, organ damage and even coma. The purpose of this literature study is to analyze whether there are similarities and differences between practice and theory in providing nursing care with hypovolemia in children with diarrhea. This research method uses a review literature study. The research sample consisted of 2 literatures from SINTA and dimension. The results of the assessment in 2 journals there are differences in the frequency of diarrhea where journal 1 defecate 5 time/ day while journal 2 defecate 4 time/ day. Implementation is carried out in journal 1 independently, while in journal 2 independently and collaboratively. In the evaluation stage, journal 1 is in accordance with the given objectives, but in journal 2 the evaluation is not in accordance with the objectives given. This research is still in the form of a Literature Review, it is hoped that the next researcher will provide nursing care appropriately and in accordance with nursing SOP in order to improve the optimal health status of the client.
