The role of parents in the selection of children's snacks is crucial. For &#13;
example, they are making lunch-box, familiarizing, guiding, and directing children &#13;
in choosing food. Today's phenomenon is that children at school age are vulnerable &#13;
to consuming unhealthy snacks and ignoring these foods' cleanliness and health. &#13;
This study aims to analyze the relationship between the role of parents regarding &#13;
healthy snacks with children's behavior in choosing food for school-age children &#13;
correlation analytic research design with the cross-sectional approach. The &#13;
population in this study were all mothers who had children in MI Negeri 2 &#13;
Mojokerto totaling 163 people. In addition, the sampling technique of this study &#13;
was total sampling. Also, The sample in this study amounted to 163 people. The &#13;
research instrument uses the results of validity and reliability tests. By editing, &#13;
coding, scoring, and analyzing data, the research data was concluded. It started from &#13;
November 23, 2020 - to April 30, 2021, which its Data analysis uses Statistical &#13;
tests. This study indicates that all roles of parents are in a suitable category, namely &#13;
163 people (100%), and almost all respondents have positive values in choosing &#13;
food as many as 86 children (52.8%). The results of the Statistical Test analysis &#13;
showed a p-value of (0.998) &lt; (0.05), so the conclusion is H0 was accepted, &#13;
meaning that there was no relationship between the role of parents regarding healthy &#13;
snacks and children's behavior in choosing food at MIN 2 Mojokerto. The &#13;
correlation between the two variables is 0.000, indicating no significant relationship &#13;
between the two variables, meaning that both variables are very weak. Parents who &#13;
are knowledgeable and play a good role can share information with other people as &#13;
well, especially for parents and guardians of other students so that they can help &#13;
and provide good support fos children who consume healthy snacks, both at home &#13;
and at school.
