Abstract:
Hypertension occurs when blood pressure increases by a systolic pressure of 140 mmHg or a diastolic pressure of 90 mmHg. Sleep disorders are one of the nursing issues in hypertension. The purpose of this nursing would be to provide nursing care to families experiencing sleep problems due to hypertension in the Work Area of UPT Puskesmas Dlanggu. The research design utilized in this study would be a descriptive case study with two participants. The study's term restriction was nursing care for hypertension patients with sleep disorder problem. This research was conducted from April 2021 to May 2021, using assessment techniques, physical examinations and documentation studies. The results of the study showed that participant 1 had hypertension with a blood pressure of 160/90 mmHg, while participant 2 had hypertension with a blood pressure of 150/90 mmHg. In terms of sleep disorder, participant 1 has them owing to stress and the environment, whereas participant 2 has them due to difficulty starting to sleep and the environment. The results obtained from the implementation analysis, both participants indicated that they had met the outcome criteria. Participant 1 felt refreshed and slept well, while Participant 2 was able to start sleeping soundly after 3x24 hours of action, namely encouraging families to modify the environment, creating a comfortable environment and encouraging patients to exercise regularly. The problem of sleep pattern disorders can be effectively resolved, but patients still have to control their blood pressure regularly at the nearest health service and regularly take antihypertensive drugs.
