Abstract:
Emergency conditions can occur anywhere. If the helper does not know the right way, it can be fatal. Because it is better to know and not need it than to need and not be able to react to it properly. A positive attitude will affect a person in acting and participating in action as well as an attitude in carrying out basic life support. This shows that the attitude of the community in carrying out basic life support is still lacking. For teenagers who are active outside the home, the process of delivering information is not only concerned with cognitive aspects but also psychomotor and psychological by using health coaching. The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of health coaching on student attitudes in performing basic life support at SMAN 2 Mojokerto City. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The population is PMR extracurricular participants at SMAN 2 Mojokerto City as many as 50 students. The sampling technique used is random (probability sampling) so that the sample obtained is 30 students. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. The results of the analysis using the Mc Nemar test obtained a value of 0.021 and = 0.05 then it shows the value of value <0.05 (α) which means that there is an effect of health coaching on students' attitudes in doing basic life support at SMAN 2 Mojokerto City. . The significant increase in positive attitudes was due to respondents having received basic life support materials through health coaching. The more experience students have in understanding basic life support, the easier it is for students to respond and decide what to do so that students can apply it in real conditions appropriately
