HUBUNGAN PERILAKU IBU DALAM PELAKSANAAN TOILET TRAINING DENGAN KEJADIAN MENGOMPOL PADA ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH

Abstract

The habit of bedwetting is a condition that often occurs in preschool-aged children. One effort to overcome this habit is toilet training. In order for the implementation of toilet training to run well, it is necessary to take concrete actions regarding toilet training from parents, especially mothers. This study aims to determine the relationship between the behavior of mothers in the application of toilet training with the incidence of bedwetting in preschool children at PAUD Hidayatul Ilmi. The design of this research is correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample used was 30 respondents. Sampling was done by using total sampling technique. The independent variable is the behavior of the mother in the application of toilet training and the dependent is the incidence of bedwetting. Data were taken using a questionnaire. After the data was collected, data processing was carried out and continued with the Spearman correlation statistical test with the help of SPSS version 25.0. The results show p = 0.000 where the significant value is <0.05 and r = 0.749 with a strong level of relationship, which means that the relationship between the two variables is unidirectional, thus it can be interpreted that the more negative the behavior of the mother in the application of toilet training, the incidence of bedwetting will also increase. increase. This shows that p < a, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted or it can be concluded that, there is a relationship between the behavior of mothers in the application of toilet training with the incidence of bedwetting in preschool children at Hidayatul Ilmi PAUD. This study shows the importance of positive maternal behavior in the application of toilet training to minimize the incidence of bedwetting in children.
