HUBUNGAN RELIGIUSITAS DENGAN KECEMASAN TERHADAP KEMATIAN PADA LANSIA

Abstract

Anxiety is a psychological disorder that often occurs in the elderly One of the factors that influence anxiety in the elderly is religiosity. Religiosity is described as a strength and belief that can provide peace self acceptance. Having hight religiosity will help the elderly prevent anxiety or psychological disorders. This study aims to determine the relationship between religiosity and anxiety to death in the elderly in Swideng Hamlet, Tawangsari Village, Trowulan District, mojokerto Regency. This research uses correlation analysis method with cross sectional approach. The sample 53 elderly who are taken using total sampling technique. The data were tested using a crosstab statistical test. The result showed that 29 respondents (54,7%) experienced hight religiosity and 20 respondents (37,7%) had panic anxiety. Which showed a significant relationship strength. One of the efforth that can be done to reduce anxiety in the elderly because their fear of death feels that their life will soon end. High religiosity can have a strong positive effect on the mind and body, thus providing a sense of calm.
