HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN SUAMI DENGAN MOTIVASI PEMBERIAN ASI EKSLUSIF PADA IBU MENYUSUI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIWA LIMA DOBO

Abstract

Background : Exclusive breastfeeding is a program that is quite difficult to develop because it is related to various social and cultural problems of the community. Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk that is given for 6 months to avoid allergies and ensure optimal baby health. Objective: To determine the relationship between husband's support and mother's motivation in breastfeeding in the working area of SiwaLima Health Center, Dobo. Research Methods: This research method uses correlation analysis, the population is 60 mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months. The sample in this study were 40 respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, data collection using questionnaires and data analysis using spearman'rho. Results: the results of spearmen rho data analysis showed that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means that there is a relationship between husband's support and motivation for exclusive breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers in the Siwa Lima Dobo Health Center working area as indicated by the value of value (0.000) < (0.05) , with a strong correlation level indicated by the correlation coefficient value of 0.678. The direction of the relationship between variables is positive correlation, meaning the better the husband's support relationship, the higher the motivation for exclusive breastfeeding for breastfeeding mothers in the Siwa Lima Dobo Health Center. Conclusions and suggestions: there is a relationship between husband's support and mother's motivation in exclusive breastfeeding. It is hoped that mothers need efforts to maintain exclusive breastfeeding. Especially in increasing the motivation of mothers who are still low so that mothers can breastfeed until the baby is 6 months old so that the health status of both mother and baby can improve.
