Syncope is one of the clinical occurrences problems that often occur in society and sometimes occurs in school environment such as routine flag ceremony activities or sports activities that are routinely carried out in schools, especially in some that require students to take part in activities but they do not pay attention into health conditions where make them eventually fainted, with education using a simulation method which is one way of delivering information so students will be more interested in receiving information. The study used pre experimental design by using the pre-test and post-test design. Samples were taken with total 68 respondents with cluster random sampling technique. Data was taken using the questionnaire instrument of student knowledge about syncope then the data was collected and processed in editing, coding, scoring and tabulating, then the data was presented with frequency distribution and in table form. Data analysis was performed with the statistical Wilcoxon signed rank test Based on performed statistical tests p = 0,000 and a = 0.5 then p <a so this shows that p <a, the hypothesis HI is accepted which means there is an educational effect with the used of simulation method on students' knowledge about syncope. The level of students knowledge increases because students are given education and then doing some simulations, besides students are also given the opportunity to practice the application of syncope so as to increase students' knowledge. Students' knowledge increases because they get related information about syncope. |
