PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL DAN DEMONSTRASI TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN TB

Abstract

Tuberculosis incidence in Indonesia has increased due to a lack of knowledge about tuberculosis transmission prevention measures. Lack of knowledge to prevent tuberculosis transmission in patients or families can certainly increase the risk of tuberculosis transmission, so it is necessary to provide health education on the prevention of tuberculosis transmission. The purpose of this study was to prove the effective ness effective ness of health education with audio visual audio visual media and demonstrations on the level of knowledge about the prevention of tuberculosis transmission, This type of research was preexperimental with one group predesign. The sampling method is by total sampling. The sample of this study was Tuberculosis patients and families with a total of 34 respondents. The instrument uses a questionnaire and a demonstration action assessment sheet on the prevention of tuberculosis transmission. The results of this study indicate that there is a change in the level of knowledge before and after health education with audiovisual media and demonstrations on the level of knowledge about prevention of tuberculosis transmission, this is indicated by the category of good and sufficient level of knowledge of respondents. Because health education using audiovisual media and demonstrations makes it easier for someone to receive information acceptance in information can increase a person’s knowledge and be able to apply it in daily life about prevention of tuberculosis transmission
