PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EDUKASI TENTANG KOMPLIKASI DIABETES MILITUS TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU-IBU PKK DI DESA GAYAMAN MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Lack of public knowledge about the signs and symptoms of complications of diabetes mellitus. the reason that often arises is "do not know if this is a complication of diabetes mellitus". Diabetes Mellitus is a state of chronic hyperglycemia accompanied by various metabolic disorders due to hormonal disorders that cause various chronic complications in the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and blood vessels.The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of providing education about the complications of diabetes mellitus on the level of knowledge of PKK mothers in the village of Gayaman Mojokerto, Desan. This study used the One Group Pre Test and Post Test Design. The population of all PKK mothers in Gayaman Mojokerto Village was 131 PKK mothers, the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample in this study was PKK mothers who actively participated in the organization for the last 3 months in the village of Gayaman Mojokerto in January-Maret2020 by 82. The research instrument used leaflets, SAP, questionnaires for complications of diabetes mellitus. The data analysis method uses the Wilcoxon Signed rank test. Test results using SPSS 16.0 Wilcoxon statistical test Signed rank test was obtained p = 0,000 <α = 0.05 so that p <α Ho was rejected so that there was an influence of education Education about diabetes diabetes complications on the level of knowledge of PKK mothers in Gayaman Mojokerto Village, because in the provision of education can affect or accelerate someone acquiring new knowledge. information obtained by someone will stimulate one's mind and ability to increase knowledge.
