ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR PENYEBAB KECELAKAAN PADA SISWA SMK TAMAN SISWA

Abstract

Traffic accidents lately occur frequently and cause a lot of losses (Margie Peden et al., 2016). While the causes of the accident include human factors, vehicle factors, and environmental factors that have a great influence on accident events. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause accidents in vocational students at Taman Siswa Mojokerto. Descriptive research design with survey approach. The population is all class X students majoring in automotive at SMK Taman Siswa Mojokerto to obtain a sample of 140 people taken with total sampling. The variables are the analysis of the factors that cause accidents in vocational high school students at the Taman Siswa Mojokerto. Data taken using primary data from respondents. After the data is collected, it is processed and continued with a descriptive statistical test with the help of SPSS version 16.0. In this study, most respondents were male (99.3%), and most respondents were aged 14-16 years old or were in the middle adolescent category (87.9%), vehicle factors were (36.4%) , and environmental factors (6.4%). The age that is not yet ripe for driving a vehicle, lack of control of behavior, vehicle conditions that are not considered, unpredictable weather conditions and road conditions that are not good often make someone have an accident. This is due to the lack of people about caring for driving safety. Increasing knowledge about the causes of accidents can be done to be more alert and careful when driving can minimize accidents.
