dc.description.abstract Adolescents have a lot of demands and pressures shown on adolescents to show who they are in the form of self-concept. Adolescents who have a positive self-concept will do positive actions that are expected by society. Negative self-concept will make adolescents more likely to violate the rules and norms of society, and eventually become involved in juvenile delinquency/ The purpose of this study was to determine the description of self-concept in adolescents. This research design was descriptive. The population of this study were all students of class XI and XII SMA 1 Bangsal as many as 750 people. The sampling technique used simple random sampling, with a sample of 60 people. This research was conducted on August 8-11, 2020. The instrument used Tennessee Self Concept Scale. The results of this study suggested that most respondents had high self-concept, namely 33 respondents (55%), while those who have low self-concept were 27 respondents (45.0%). This suggested that most teenagers in SMAN 1 Bangsal have a high self-concept. This is because at this time adolescents were trying to find self-identity, so they want to show others who they are, whether by their physical appearance they feel better than their peers, or because they feel more popular among boys or girls. Respondents with a high self-concept feel that all good things were in accordance with themselves, which means that the respondent was satisfied with who he is now. en_US
