GAMBARAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIS YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISA DI RSUD Prof .Dr SOEKANDAR MOJOSARI KABUPATEN MOJOKERTO

Abstract

Decreased body function experienced by people with chronic renal failure with hemodialysis therapy can cause patients to experience physical weakness, which is unable and helpless because of physical limitations that require support from his family. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of family support in patients with chronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis. The design of this research is descriptive. The study population was all patients with chronic kidney failure who undergoing hemodialysis at Prof. Hospital Dr. Soekandar Mojokerto Regency was 120 people. The sampling technique in this study was consecutive sampling, and the samples found in the period of the study were 45 people. The time of the study was conducted in May 2020. The instrument used in this Study was family support questionnaire that adopted from nursalam (2016) . The results of this study suggested that respondents who got adequate support from their families are 27 people (60%) , and those who got good support as many as 18 people (40%) . The analysis suggested that the majority of respondents received family support in the sufficient category. This was due to the age of respondents who were not too old so they could still do activities without a lot of help, sufficient income so that financial assistance from families was not really needed, secondary education that made patients able to dig up their own information without much help from the family.
