HUBUNGAN KECEMASAN DENGAN PERILAKU CARING PERAWAT DI RUANG NON COVID RSUD BANGIL PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID -19
Abstract
The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic caused a global emergency that
could change nursing services. Aerosol transmission when interacting with patients
causes anxiety about the occurrence of transmission to nurses and their families.
The psychological impact turned out to affect the caring behavior of nurses towards
patients. This study aims to analyze anxiety with the caring behavior of nurses in
the non-covid room at Bangil Hospital. This research is quantitative with a
descriptive correlation design using a cross sectional approach. The independent
variable is anxiety, while the dependent variable is the caring behavior of nurses.
The population is all nurses in the non-covid room. The sampling technique used is
probability sampling by simple random sampling. The number of samples is 25
respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire via google form.
Anxiety questionnaire using STAI (State Trait Anxiety Inventory) measuring
instrument, caring behavior questionnaire using CBI-24 measuring instrument. The
results showed that there were more moderate levels of anxiety at 60% state anxiety.
In trait anxiety, there are more moderate levels of anxiety 56%. For low caring
behavior the percentage is higher with a value of 60%. Analysis of the data using
the Spearman rank test and obtained p value = 0.00 or p value < 0.05 < = 0.05 so
that Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between anxiety and caring
behavior of nurses in the non-covid room of Bangil Hospital during the covid 19
pandemic. The value of the correlation coefficient is negative, which means it has a
strong negative relationship. So that the higher the level of anxiety experienced by
the nurse, the lower the caring behavior of the nurse. Knowledge of applicative
coping strategies can reduce anxiety levels towards stressors, so it is hoped that
caring behavior will not decrease.
