dc.description.abstract | First aid in an accident at school is very influential in student safety, a
student who is prone to and often experiences minor accidents need to know
that the importance of health education about first aid in an accident in order
to increase student knowledge and can be applied in everyday life. The
purpose of this study was to prove the effectiveness of the audiovisual
method on the level of student knowledge about first aid in an accident at
sooko 2 public middle school mojokerto regency. Pre Experimental research
design with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study
were student’s of SMPN 2 SOOKO who joined soccer, PMR, and volleyball
extracurricular activities as many 155 student’s. Sampling using simple
random sampling method, amounting to 27 respondents The result of this
study indicates that almost half of the respondents before being given first aid
material In an accident has less knowledge of 12 student’s (44,4%) and the
majority of respondents after being given first aid material in accidents as
many as 15 student’s (55,6%). Data analysis using Wilcoxonsigned rank test
result showed an increase in knowledge of 21 respondents and permanent
knowledge of 6 respondents with a ρ value = 0,000 (α = 0,05) which showed
that there was an effect of audiovisual methods on the level of student’s
knowledge about first aid in accidents.. Providing material about first aid in
an accident to students using audiovisual methods can increase student’s
knowledge because students will be more interested because it involves
elements of pictures and sounds. First aid material in this accident can be
useful for student’s so they don’t hesitate in providing first aid in an accident. | en_US |
