    Abstract
The current era of globalization is the incidence of Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) continues to increase. Non-communicable diseases cause high mortality and morbidity. The background to the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases and the increasingly varied epidemiological transition is one's lifestyle. Having smoking habits, unhealthy eating patterns, lack of physical activity and stress are unhealthy lifestyles. this can trigger the emergence of degenerative diseases, one of which is hypertension. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is a relationship between lifestyle and the incidence of hypertension in adult patients in polyclinic disease in DKT Sidoarjo Hospital. The research design used correlation analytic with cross sectional approach. There are 2 research variables, they are independent and dependent. Lifestyle as an independent variable (independent) while the dependent variable is the incidence of hypertension. The study population used all adult patients both male and female who examined at the polyclinic disease in Sidoarjo DKT Hospital on February 25 - April 10 2020 as many as 35 respondents. Samples were taken in a representative manner with a non-probability sampling technique. Data collection using a lifestyle questionnaire instrument and spranomanometer type ahranoid, then analyzed using statistical test chisquer. The results of the study showed that of 35 respondents, 15 respondents who had a healthy lifestyle who did not suffer from hypertension, as many as 1 respondent (6.7%) suffered from hypertension due to hereditary factors. While the rest, 20 respondents who have unhealthy lifestyles all suffer from hypertension that is 20 respondents (100%). The results of this study indicate that unhealthy lifestyles can be influenced by smoking habits, unhealthy eating patterns, lack of physical activity and stress. Besides these 4 factors, there are also factors that influence hypertension, namely age, sex, work, drinking, habits drinking coffee mainly on heredity because 70-80% of cases of essential hypertension have a family history of hypertension. Prevent with a healthy lifestyle and also pay attention to the factors associated with the occurrence of hypertension as early as possible will minimize the case and will not be affected by hypertension.
