dc.description.abstractPulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease, mainly affecting the lungs. Infectious diseases caused by the bacteria mycobacterium tuberculosis. This disease is chronic, pulmonary tuberculosis can be transmitted through the air, when someone coughs, sneezes or talks. Continuous coughing will put pressure on the abdominal wall causing prolonged nausea and vomiting which can reduce appetite, resulting in decreased nutritional status. The general objective of this study was to provide nursing care for nutritional imbalances less than the body's needs for pulmonary tuberculosis at BANGIL-PASURUAN Hospital. The research method used is descriptive, the participants in this case were 1 participant with a nutritional imbalance problem less than the body's needs. Data collection was carried out including interviews, physical examinations, and documentation. From the study conducted, the patient was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis since two years ago, nausea for 2 weeks, decreased appetite, persistent cough, abdominal pain, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, decreased skin turgor, decreased body weight by 7 kg. during illness. After making a plan, the researcher carried out nursing actions, namely observing vital signs, identifying nutritional status, identifying preferred foods, taking oral hygine before eating, providing high-fiber foods to prevent constipation, serving food attractively and at an appropriate temperature, suggesting a sitting position if able, collaborate with a nutritionist. The results of the evaluation after nursing action for 3 days showed that the problem was resolved, neither nausea nor vomiting, improved appetite, increased food portions, improved eating frequency 2 times / day. In the case of nutritional imbalance less than the body's need, oral hygine is performed before eating and serving food while warm is effective in helping to increase appetite.en_US
