Abstract:
Symptoms such as headaches, neck stiffness, abd general physical discomfort are associated with hypertension (elevated blood pressure). Non-pharmacological management is essential to complement medical therapy: obe such approach is Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM). This study employed a quantitative design using a One-Group Pre-Tes method. The sample consisted of 20 respondents selected via consecutive sampling. Pain levels were assessed using the Numeric rating Scale (NRS) aboservation shet, abd date were analyzed using normality and Wilcoxon tests. The result showed a mean pre-therapy pain score of 5. Following 5-10 minuts of SSBM therapy, the mean pain score decreased to 3. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value of 0.000 (significane level <0.05), indicating that SSBM therapy significantly reduces pain levels in patients patients with hypertension. This therapy recommended as a safe, cost-effective, and effective independent nursing intervention for non-pharmacological pain management in hypertensive patients
